Here's a short video mapping in time-lapse of the spread of Wal-Mart stores in America, from a few lonely dots in the sixties to a rising torrent that ends with an America covered by the lights of the retailer.
Don't get me wrong, I like Wal-Mart. I do most of my shopping there from food to other household items.
