My son John called tonight when he got back to Mayport Naval Base. He spent the weekend in Daytona Beach with his barracks-mate Doddridge and his family. They went and saw the Daytona 300 ( Camping World 300 ) Saturday and John sent us some pictures. Hopefully John will give someone else the camera next time so we get some pictures of him. John is on duty tomorrow.

Hey John....first off...Elaine and myself are avid NASCAR fans, and as many tracks around the USA that we've been to...we've never been to Daytona...lucky John...
Second...Doddridge in NO way looks like a NASCAR fan....he's gotta change his image a mite....
If I had seen him there...I woulda tried to sell him an "old race care" fer $50.00 buck or so...or some land in Talledaga, MISS....
...and Yes...I know...Talledaga is in Alabama....that was part of the shot...
LOL, I guess he really is a big fan, he is the one that bought the tickets, not John. BTW, my parents live about 2 miles from Daytona Speedway.
